Per´s comments: This is an excellent pub in downtown Leipzig. It must be extremely rare for a pub to serve all three major German wheat beer styles (weizen, berliner weisse and gose), but this place does. And on top of this gose is the real shit. Pale orange and cloudy with average head in it´s traditional long, thin glass. Acidic, lemony appley aroma. Mild acidity balanced by salt. Tart and lightly yeasty. Firm and refreshing, superbly drinkable with vital, elastic winegum finish. Stunningly unique and rich, yet so refreshing. Makes a trip to Leipzig worthwile. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
