Per´s comments: Clear golden. Buttery aroma with restrained smokiness. The mouthfeel starts clean but softens significantly towards the finish, and the carbonation is low. It richly malty, and the smokiness is toned down. Very lightly hopped. This is being brewed in Bamberg´s smallest brewery, in effect more or less a homebrewer with commercial brewer status. Normally the beers are not available for the public, but on the Bamberg-Franken festival in Nynshamn, Sweden they were sold, and I had also had a chance to chat with the brewer himself. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
