Källefalls Bryggeri

In the year 1992 there was no brewery in Sweden that exclusively produced ales. That was one of the reasons that the microbrewery Källefalls Bryggei was started in the small town of Tidaholm in Västergötland. They soon found a niche of their own, and was a forerunner for later micro's to come. Still in '97 though they are the only brewery that exclusively produces Brittish style ales.

From the beginning their main goal was to offer cask conditioned ales, but over the last years they have spent most of their effort on bottled ales. From now on however, their real ales will be available in quite a few places around the country. The brewery recommends these places: Husaren (Skövde), Akkurat (Stockholm), Oliver Twist (Stockholm), Bishop's Arms (Stockholm), Woolpack (Västerås) and Bishop's Arms (Malmö).

Their selection are typical Brittish ales such as the full bodied and thick Källefall Strong Ale or the more lightbodied and thirst quenching Källefall Brown Ale. As mentioned all their beers are top fermented. This includes their Christmas and Easter seasonals, Källefall Julöl and Källefall Påsköl.

Källefall's overall production is estimated to about 300 000 liter during '97, and their ales are available all over the country, and even exported to Finland. Soon it will also be exported to Scotland.

Currently their products are:
  • Källefall Brown Ale - Brown Ale (5,0%)
  • Källefall Pale Ale - Pale Ale(4,3%)
  • Källefall Strong Ale - Strong Ale (5,6%)
  • Skarabôrjar'n - Ale (5,3%)
  • Skarabôrjar'n, klass I - Ale (<2,25%)
