The Black Friday

Friday the 13th of September 1996 were the day chosen for one of the greatest days in OMH's existance. This was the night we rated the mighty Stockholm Express, a shipment consisting of 12 amazing microbrews from all over the US westcoast. (Thanks Todd, Brent and the rest of NWOB!!!)

We also have been fortunate enough to get hold on a couple of interesting Canadian brews (and a Labatt's...), along with a few micros from NE USA.

The nickname of the day is aiming towards the colour of the beer in the Stockholm Express, which thoroughly killed the last reminders anyone of us had of the myth that American beer had anything to do with sexual escapades in a canoe. (Just in case anyone still believed that after Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Pyramid-Hart Espresso Stout, Anchor Old Foghorn, Blind Pig IPA and SA Triple Bock...)

As usual we rated too many beers on the same night... As you can see some of us had problems with the massive hoppiness. I guess we're not yet used to it. Personally I loved most of these micro's. Anyway, here's the scoresheet:
