Per's comments: Clear brownish amber, really rich firm head. Rich oaky vinous nose. Fairly sweet with strong flavour of gooseberries, yeast and oak. Well rounded caramelly malt gives wa yfor notes of black currant, oak and syrup. Finishes with fairly low bitterness. An attention grabber with its very direct flavour - more American brashness in its approach than British subtlety. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
