Per's comments: Been looking forward to this. Krönlein is pretty much the only older brewery in the country that, on a good day, can brew reasonable lagers. This one came out muddy golden with small head. The aroma was disheartening - honeyed old vegetables. It's sweetisn and light bodied with mushy, un-firm mouthfeel. Honey and slight vegetables insists on the front seat. More or less no bitterness. In a way I hope that someone at the brewery was greedy enough to serve the leftovers of a keg from the first weekend at Stockholm Beer Festival to the first customer the second weekend, and that the beer really isn't this like Heineken owned Russian mega plant beers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
