Per´s comments: Amber colour, some sediment, rich fluffy head. Tart vinegary raspberry aroma, near Cantillon-like. The wonderful aroma is followed up by a refeshingly acidic and rather yeasty flavour. It´s fairly light bodied with spritzy mouthfeel and evident wheat malt character. The Cantillon-like acidity gradually turns lemonady and one-dimensional. It lacks all the finer details than Brettanomycaes brings to acidic beers. Still, thanks to it´s tart drynes,s it´s one of the better examples of fruit flavoured wheat beers. Pretty much along the same track that Redoak in Sydney is walking down. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
