Bock beers ands Polish strong lagers

OMH member Oscar had brought back a big load of Polish beers from Warsaw. It seems like for every tim ewe try Polish beers they have improved, gotten cleaner more flawless , and also more flvourful and interesting. The stronger lagers used to be very sweet and with strong alcohol taste, but the ones we tries here, like the various beer from Jablonowo were all credible bock like beers with indivdual character. The best of overall rating of the Polish beers was received by the smooth, very drinkable golden Kopernik Mocne 14,5% from Browar Amber in Bielkowo. A peculiarthing was the Belfast Strong Irish Style Stout, which despite it's name was a strong dark lager in the Baltic porter style. We had also received a bunch of beers from our friend Don Bilbe in the US, and it was among these we found the winner of the night: Nor'wester Smith Rock Bock, an excellent example of a good bock beer. Nearly all beers at the bottom of this list are Swedish low alcohol brands we rated to make up the numbers.
