Following all the beer hunting across Europe we had plenty of good beer to enjoy during the spring.
ALso there was no shortage of good new beers available on local pubs. The best scoring beer was tasted on
a pub, brewed by Närke Kulturbryggeri, an adventurous new microbrewr from Örebro. This heavily smokeybeer
ale is made of smoked malt from the new Swedish whiskey distillery Mackmyra.
The second place beer is a concentrated flavourful beer from the tiny Belgian microbrewer La Rulles, but in comparison with third placed French brewpub Café de la Poste who has made a superbly balanced ale, they are like giants. Beer number 7000 was celebrated with a big bottle of the Italian made Belgian style ale Cittavecchia Formidable. Pivovar Vyskov from south Moravia makes some excellent beers. Two of their beers if found near the top of this listing at 4.06. We have also received a number of good beers from British Columbia and Oregon, courtesy of Josh Oakes. | |||||||||||||||||
